If someone asked you right now: “what is the difference between a squat and a deadlift?”
What would your answer be?
The answer should be simple.
Yes, they are just so similar right, both involve your hips to move and work your legs.
Sure one works the quads more than the hamstrings.
But only if you’re doing it right.
A lot of beginners have a hard time knowing and feeling the difference between the two.
Most of the time beginners understand the concept of a squat but find it extremely difficult not to turn their deadlift into a squat.
It just feels more natural for most of us to go into a squat rather than a deadlift.
We squat all day.
Whether that’s sitting on the toilet, getting out of our couch or office chair.
We are spending a lot more time squatting that we are the other.
That’s why when I ask some new clients to hip hinge I get a puzzled look.
